Pictures That I Promised

For everyone who couldn't be there, I have finally got around to putting some pictures on my blog! I hope you feel like you were there in spirit!

Yeah! We are Married!

I was really happy about it!
I was a great day. Lots of special moments that I want to share with all of you!

I know...kissing pictures are always so cute.
But Pay close attention to Ross's family in the background!

Here is the whole crew all together!
I have never felt so loved in my life!

Ben hates pictures...and his bowtie!
I think we look sharp.

And my brand new family!
I love them all!
And check out the group of tough guys up front!

Jamie my beautiful Bride's Maid!
Thanks again Jamie-I love you!

The tulips were beautiful!

The families never got to see the ring ceremony but I promise we did it!

This was our delicious cake!
Yes-the strawberries are dripping-but hey it's the taste that matters.

Ross's Mom and Grandma did an awesome job of decorating!

Ross's little cousin was a little suspicious of the camera guy!

Like she was wondering why he was following her.
It's because she is so stinkin' cute!

This is Braden-The Best Man!
We thought the bubbles in the background helps him pull off his tough guy look.

This is Ross having second thoughts about marrying Me!

Ha ha--Just kidding!

We talked about not stuffing cake in each others faces....

But some how that didn't work out!

I had to have another piece because it was so good!

My cousin Hope ended up with the boque!
I think Caleb was a little jealous.

And to prove how good that cake actually was...

Wayln loved it!

Jamie loved it...

And Caleb couldn't wait to get another piece!

Thank you to every one who help that day to be absolutely perfect! Especially you Mom! And a big thanks goes out to all the Men on the grill! The food was great!

Married

I love being married!!! The wedding was awesome. I have never felt more loved in all my life! It is so special to me. Now I have 4 sisters! I have always wanted a sister and now I have four. That day seemed to glide by like a dream, everything was wonderful. I wish I had pictures to show you all.

After the honeymoon, which was fabulous by the way, we made the 21 hour trip to Grapevine TX. We moved what little we had into our new apartment. It felt so weird to actually have a have a place of our own. We stocked up the fridge first thing, it's still not very full after three trips to walmart! In our apartment we have a nice kitchen, a dining table, a comfy cuddle couch, a matching chair, our little tv and a Clock that I managed to hang on the wall with one of my bobby pins! We also have a bedroom and bathroom and the best part of all is that we have a walk in closet! I could have brought more clothes. haha I love having Ross to share all of this with. he is so great. I'm lucky that I found this handsome hunk of a guy!

One thing that we forgot to bring with us was toilet paper! ha ha Ross ended up on the toilet with out any before we realized we had overlooked that little detail. Good thing I kept some extra napkins from arbies!

Wedding Part III

Ok. Here I go. These are the plans so far!

The Big Day is May 9th! (ross texts may 9th to me all the time with a big smilie face!)

Announcements are in the works. (They will be out by April 18th)

Our Colors are chocolate brown and a bright blue color. (Orange flowers to compliment.)

There will be three receptions! One in Sheridan, one in Lovell WY (Ross's home town), and one in Logan. The Logan reception will be a barbeque in the Weaver's yards! lots of yummy food.

The Honeymoon will be a 4 day cruise off the coast of California down to Mexico and Back. I am so excited to go on a cruise!

Our plans for the summer are just as exciting. We are going to work for apex with Remington and Traci and sawyer and Marc! We are staying in Fort Worth Texas! yahoo! The apartments are beautiful and the company will be even better!

After the summer the plan is to go to Rock Springs, Wyoming. (I know Traci, I was hoping for USU too!) But the bright side is that Rock Springs is only 3 hours away instead of 8! And there is a program from Weber State through Rock Springs so I could continue my education!

Wow. I think I just created a six month plan! ha ha.

Let me know if you would like an announcement! And any marriage advice is welcome!!!

Waiting.

Ross has been gone all day. I feel a little bit pathetic for missing him so much. :) I mean, it is possible for me to spend one day apart from him...barely. I am also jealous of him because he is off having fun, and I have nothing to do but think about what he is doing, and wonder if, for one precious moment, he might be thinking about me too. So here I sit, tap, tap, taping my feelings into this computer, waiting for that rap at the door where my hunny, Ross, will be standing.

I took some time tonight to go through and glance at everyone's blogs. I enjoyed reading all the Valentine's posts. It is amazing to think about how much love there is in the world. Not only love for that special someone, but for mothers and children and friends. I am so blessed to have so many people to love, and so many who love me. I think I will go and hug everyone I see tomorrow.

This Valentines day was a funny one. Ross took me out to Wendy's. haha Here we are engaged and neither one of us did anything special. I hope this isn't the start of a trend.

Wedding II

We finally got our engagement pictures taken! yahoo. I have learned that maybe getting married in the late summer would be the best time for engagement photos; there is better scenery, better lighting, and a better temperature in the spring than in the dead of winter. I don't remember ever being so cold as I was on this day.
I clung to that blanket all day! We still had fun though. We always do. Next step is to get the announcement done! It's funny...ross is so picky about what pictures we are going to use! I'm supposed to be the picky one.

Lunch Time

Ross and I have three places that we can eat for lunch: The school cafeteria, the Cafe, or Ross's house. Yesterday we ate at the cafeteria and yet again we debated where to sit. I was staling over by the soda fountain so that he would be the one to pick somewhere to sit! I'm hopelessly indecisive. And this is one of the things that I love about Ross the most: He went and sat down with a new foreign student from Japan. He is never afraid to go and meet new people! We had a great time talking with our new friend, Kazuki. After lunch we all decided to go bowling together one weekend! I feel bad for Kazuki because he says that there isn't much to do here, and who can blame him! I felt the same way about Sheridan, Wyoming when I first came here too! Maybe we can help him have some fun this semester! Here's to new friends!

Wedding part 1: The Ring

Ok everyone! Here it is! The Gorgeous ring that my Wonderful Fiance gave me! Princess cut diamond with a white gold band. My very favorite part is the way the wedding band hugs the form of the ring so perfectly! Writing this blog makes me wish I had it on my finger right now. oh well it's my own fault for telling him the wrong size! haha

Did you know that the tradition of the wedding ring is the longest surviving wedding tradition every. Men have been getting down on one knee so to speak for thousands of years! (Well not Ross, he just sat there looking nervous! ha ha) The Egyptians were the first recorded to have worn wedding rings. They believed that the ring finger on the left hand had a vein that ran straight to the heart! What better way to symbolize the love and commitment between a man and a woman. I was surprised to find that not all cultures follow the tradition of waring the ring on the left ring finger...Roman Catholics wore the wedding ring on the right hand and in the Jewish faith, it is worn on the index finger of the left hand. Go figure!

I was talking with my friends, one of them who is also getting married, about our rings. We all have the white gold bands and wouldn't dream of wearing a yellow gold band. It turns out that all of our mothers have yellow gold rings! Funny how trends run!

I'm Getting Married!

Yes it is true! I have been told by my most loving cousin, Traci, that I'm slacking! Slacking in that I have not provided ample pictures and cute stories about my new and true love! ha ha Two problems:

Problem 1: I don't have my ring. I accidentally told Ross that my finger was a size 8. We quickly decided that was not the case after he proposed and it didn't fit! So we had to get it re-sized from an 8 to a 6 1/2. For any one out there who has a serious boyfriend-it might be a good idea to check the size of you ring finger! Just in case. :)

Problem 2: I am ashamed to admit that I don't have any good pictures of me and Ross. I'm really waiting until we get some cute ones together so I can show you all the love of my life!

But I won't leave you in suspense I will tell you how he proposed:

On Saturday the 17th of January, I made the horrific drive from Logan, UT, to Sheridan, WY. I was so tired, but Ross promised that we would go get Chinese food. (I have a weakness for orange chicken!) He was so cute when he saw me! I've never been hugged so tight in my whole life. Anyway...we got all my luggage up to my dorm and he picked up the food. After I was stuffed to the brim with fried rice and orange chicken, he handed me two fortune cookies. I was so excited- not because I thought he was going to propose, truthfully I had no idea, but that we both got two fortunes cookies! I was always resentful that they never give more than one cookie. so I open my first cookie and my gorgeous white gold, princess cut diamond ring fall out! haha oh I was so happy! Ross later told my that I opened them in the wrong order, because the other cookie had will you marry me written on the fortune. That cutie he took the time to hold the cookies over steam until they got soft and then put them back together with the goodies inside!

When my dad asked my mom to marry him, he asked her before their meal was over. My mom was too full of energy to eat the rest of her lunch. So my smart father who loves food got two meals that day! I just want to thank Ross for letting me, my father's daughter, to finish my meal first! haha

So that is how it happened...and a little kissing, but I won't tell you about that!

The World of photography!

I am currently taking a digital photography class, which I love, and today I was led to an inspiring blog! It is called Stuck in Customs: unique photography for unique people. This page is a whole feast for you eyes. I'm really jealous of this photographer because is seems like all he does is travel the world taking great pictures! I'm luck if I even get out of my dorm room on weekends. ha ha
If you have time check this blog out!
Today in class we discussed how digital photography has blown traditional methods out of the water. We talked about how frustrated photographers who use film must be when a rooky who doesn't know what aperture means comes up with amazing photos using a digital camera. Advances in technology have made things easy for all of us, but when do we go too far? Will art and particularly photography start losing its value? An even harder question is What am I going to do for my wedding photos? Yikes!

I watch this when I want to laugh
